giving and love
college's been fun. this week was really tiring.. we had 2 mid-term tests this week and was preparing for our supposed debate today. but the debate is postponed to next wed.
one of the things i think the Lord has truly taught me was giving and loving. giving without expecting anything in return. do to others what you would have them do to you (Matthew 7:12). even if they are the people you dont like. even if you dont feel like doing it. bcos He has asked us to love one another.
John 13:34 (NIV)
"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
how true. because He has loved us, we ought to love one another. as simple as that. not after measuring whether the person is deserving our love or not, but just love bcos He first loved us. and not just, "Oh.. of course i love him/her". but one with care and concern. concerned abt whats going on in that person's life. when the person's sick, we pay extra attention to them. most importantly pray for them. how very easy to say but.. hard to practice. the chorus of the song Freely, freely kept ringing in my mind. it goes:
He said, "Freely, freely, you have received.. freely, freely.. give. Go in my name, and because you believe.. others will know that I live"
as how we have freely received from Him, we freely give. how we can be very selfish at times.. like the parable of the shrewd manager. my thoughts are everywhere..

im really thankful for fwens like geetz (geeta), man (amanda), waiyee, jus (ju ee) and farah in college. they are very caring, and we just click.. not the music we like lah, especially.. *snickers at amanda*
i dont know.. i just thank God for friends like them that i could really count-on in college. we could laugh at each other's weaknesses and lift each other up whenever one's down. it's so hard to find true friends in college nowadays n the Lord has been really good to me. =)
and the best thing is to be able to have so many close friends who are still as close (huh? talk abt loss of words!) to me as they were before. frens like yeeloon, yeeping, wendy, mc, mm, steph, seeyee, clarissa, suet nie, sarah.. these people are of utmost importance in my life.
some other people who deserve to be mentioned here bcos of what they've done in my life.. are cheryl jie, soo aun kor, su mei jie, guna kor, jupiter kor, jaya kor, sook chin, james wang, edwin, auntie kim, my sister peiyee, and.. loads more.
my whole course consists of only 32 students. others whom im not really close with like diane, mich, lydia, sheetal, kristina, JE, teh tarik.. though we're not that close.. it's so fun being around these people. though our class is like.. 50% of them are chinese-educated n the other half is english-educated.. all of us jst can chat n chat n chat. language barrier is there but can be easily done with. having lydia's non-stop giggle ringing in the class is quite fun. she's so cute. oh, michelle's constant laughter. farah's non-stop 'scolding' to lydia n michelle n sheetal. haha. she's so cute. farah's nervous-ness each time she presents in front of the class. teh tarik's constant usage of the word 'wah' when he speaks english during presentation. hehehe. joan's sudden outburst of laughter. peiwey's blur face. fanny's sleepy face early in the morning. and more.. all of them are unique and cute in their own ways. praise the Lord for the chance to hv known them. wouldnt trade them for any other.
